about

This album features my electronic music scores for Georges Méliès's films "A Trip to the Moon" and "The Astronomer's Dream" (originally released in 1902 and 1898, respectively); Segundo de Chomón's "Easter Eggs," released in 1907; the 1906 American "short" "Three American Beauties," directed by Edward S. Porter and Wallace McCutcheon; and Arthur Marvin's 1903 "short," "Sherlock Holmes Baffled."

The album concludes with my first film score, composed and recorded when I was in graduate school: an electronic music score for an excerpt of the Bal Masque sequence from the 1925 Universal Pictures film "The Phantom of the Opera," starring Lon Chaney, and directed by Rupert Julian.
