Originally released in April, 2021, this reissue of "Electronic Music Film Scores (Volume I)" features newly remixed/re-EQ'd audio, new artwork, and a new PDF liner note booklet.

With the exception of "A Trip to the Moon," all the scores featured on this album were composed for Silent Era "shorts" - brief, experimental films from the earliest days of cinema history.

The experimental and energetic character of the films, their unique, beautiful hand-colored images, and the often quirky and humorous subject matter inspired me to create scores of vivid musical colors, often with a popular music-style touch. Analog synthesizers feature prominently in these scores, as their sound seems to be a musical analog to the beautiful and exciting visual artistry of these earliest studies in the art of the cinema.
