Originally released December 21st, 2021, this reissue of "Electronic Music Film Scores (Volume III)" features newly remixed/re-EQ'd audio, new artwork, and a new PDF liner note booklet.

The scores featured on this album were composed either for Silent Era film "shorts" - brief, experimental films from the earliest days of cinema history - or for fragments of later Silent Era films that are now believed to be lost. An instance of the latter is "Satanas," a very short fragment that remains of an early film by one of the greatest directors in cinema history, F.W. Murnau (1888 - 1931).

This third volume of my "Electronic Music Film Scores" series is unique - among other reasons - for the dance music featured in the scores. Of the eight scores on this album, five ("Satanas," "The Mysterious Island," "The Temptation of St. Anthony," "Annabelle's Serpentine Dance," and "The Christmas Dream") feature dance music - either in the score's entirety or in part.

The album also includes my appropriately mysterious and dramatic score for Segundo de Chomón's 1912 short, "The Screen of Cagliostro," based on the magical legend of the eighteenth century Freemason and mystic, Count Cagliostro.

"Electronic Music Film Scores (Volume III)" concludes with my score for Georges Méliès's charming and poignant 1900 short, "The Christmas Dream."
