about

"Hekate et Aliae: Mystery Music VII" is a collection of works recorded between 2019 - 2023.

In addition to works that are entirely computer/electronically realized, this album includes an electroacoustic composition ("Rebuilding Babel") and two works that were recorded live ("Rhapsody on Ancient Arabic & Greek Scales," and "Apollonian/Dionysian").

The album opens with a suitably surreal rock instrumental, "A Night Out with Hekate," and concludes with two particularly enigmatic works: "Dream Music," a recording I made of music I heard in a dream (see the album liner notes for more detail), and the haunting, "Another Year Fades Away."

"Rebuilding Babel," a work for organ and electronics, was composed specifically for inclusion on this album. The recording features American composer and concert organist, Carson Cooman, as the organ soloist.

Purchase of the album includes copies of the front and back cover artwork, and a PDF liner notes booklet.
